At Magoosh, we have many study schedules to help you prepare for the GMAT:
- 1 Month GMAT Study Schedule
- 2 Month GMAT Study Schedule
- 3 Month GMAT Study Schedule
- 6 Month GMAT Study Schedule
But with so many choices, it can be tough to determine which one's right for you!

Ultimately, the amount of possible time you have to study is a great limiter. For example, if you only have 2 months to study, you'll want to go with either the 1-month or 2-month study schedule.
However, possible time isn't the only factor. For example, if you have 6 months before your exam but have already done a lot of studying, you might opt for the 3-month or even the 1-month in some cases.
Thus, it can be very helpful to establish an initial baseline of your current skills and even your current estimated score:
Once you know where you're at, you'll have a much better feel for how much time and effort it will take to get to where you want to be.
For more details on this as well as more questions to ask yourself, please see this article:
Lastly, don't be afraid to adapt any of our schedules to your needs! The schedules are merely suggestions, and the person who knows best about what is necessary for his or her GMAT success is you. So if you decide, for example, you need more math or verbal problems than our plan suggests in a given week, go for it! Our schedules are merely there to give you the structure to succeed on test day.
