The answer to this question is going to be different for each student. There are a few factors that go into making a sound prediction and setting realistic goals.
Starting Point
Students with lower starting scores will find it easier to increase their score compared to students with higher starting scores. If you are already scoring a 168, improving is much more difficult given the amount of competition at that score range.
Prep Time
The next thing to consider is how much time you plan to spend studying. 3 months is preferable to 1, and more time will provide you with a better score increase in nearly all circumstances. So time is a pivotal factor.
Estimating your score
We have developed a way for each student to come up with a realistic increase goal once they take a practice test: How much can I improve my LSAT score.
Read this short post and follow the steps. Obtaining a reasonable LSAT goal at the very beginning of your studies will save you a lot of time and frustration later on.
