We're glad you've chosen Magoosh! :)
First, I'd recommend choosing a study guide based on the amount of time you have to study and your strengths/weaknesses:
If you're not sure what your strengths and weaknesses are yet, that's totally fine! A great way to find out is by trying your hand at one of these practice sets:
Alternatively, you could also learn more about the GRE first, specifically what kinds of questions it asks and what topics it covers:
Once you're familiar with the structure of the test, you could then try some sample GRE questions first.
Also, be sure to check out our advice on how to study for the GRE.
If you choose not to use a study guide, I'd recommend that you start by watching the lesson videos and completing the practice quizzes at the end of each section. The lesson videos are listed in the order we recommend that you watch them, so simply start at the top of the page, and work your way down! As you finish each section, you can use the Practice tab to create your own practice sessions, and filter for the types of problems that you've just learned.
Also, make sure to check out our guides and eBooks (especially the vocabulary one!):
- What is the GRE Test? All You Need to Know
- GRE Vocabulary eBook
- GRE Vocab Flashcards and Apps
- Math Formula Cheat Sheet
I'd also recommend checking out our blog. It has hundreds of posts about everything from math strategies, to vocabulary words, to verbal practice problems and study tips!
Happy studying, and let us know if you have any questions along the way! :)
