Hello, Magoosh parents! Now that you've purchased a Magoosh account for your child(ren), I bet you're looking for some guidance on how to make the most of your time with us. Well, look no further! We’ve compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions so you have a one-stop-shop for tips and resources to move forward with your student's prep.
Do I, as a parent, have my own account? How do I access it?
The purchase of Magoosh is good for 1 licensed subscription which is usually assigned to the student when you created their account. Parents do not have their own account when they purchase an account for their child. When accessing the purchased account, please make sure that you're signing in with your child's credentials associated with the account.
How can I support my child in their studies?

Get your child in the habit of contacting our help desk directly when they have a question. There's a small purple button on the bottom right side of every Magoosh page. They can either email their question to us 24/7 or they can chat with our Academic team from 7 am - 3 pm PST.
When and how do you alert me about my child’s progress?
When you purchase Magoosh for your child and create their account, we'll ask for your email, too! Entering your email when prompted will put you into our weekly parent email campaign to receive updates on your child's progress in Magoosh. This is usually good for the first three months of their subscription (the average time a student will use Magoosh from their date of purchase). If they purchase Magoosh but use it at a later time and you are no longer receiving emailed updates from us, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we can provide you with a custom student link to track their progress!
I have multiple children and multiple accounts. Will I receive progress reports for each of my children?
At this time, our system is set up for a 1 parent-1 student report. That means we can only have one student associated with one parent email at a time. If you'd like to receive emailed reports for each of your children, you'll need to enter a different parent email for each child that you're creating an account for.
I don't want to wait a week for emailed progress information. Can I check in on my child ad-hoc to make sure they are on pace with their studying?
Yes, we can help you with that! Contact us at email@example.com and request a custom student link to track their progress at any time.
Alternatively, if you'd like to specifically see what questions they are having the most trouble with, please log into their account with their credentials. Then click on this SAT link or this ACT link to visit their Answers page and select the filters at the top to learn more about what they are working on and could use some help with.

My child doesn’t understand a lesson, practice question, or video explanation. Now what?
Remember, think purple! Encourage your student to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org or use our purple help button when they don't understand the answer to a question. We have a team of Academic specialists waiting to help. :)
